New Asian-inspired cafe to open at Ala Moana Center

HI Tea Cafe is opening at Ala Moana Center's new food court, according to public documents.
On Friday, H2K International LLC, which is headed by Michael Huo, filed a $150,000 building permit for its new space at Ala Moana Center's "The Lanai," that will open in part of the former Shirokiya space at the state's largest shopping mall.
HI Tea Cafe will serve Asian-inspired lunch plates, bubble drinks, smoothies and fresh juices.
Curtis Miyamura of CKM Architects is listed as the architect for HI Tea's new space at the Honolulu mall.
The Lanai at Ala Moana is expected to open later this year with up to 12 specialty food vendors and indoor and outdoor seating for up to 450 people.
